Dispatch from a Quick Jaunt to Quebec

We'd just gotten back from La Belle Province where we visited Quebec City and the Charlevoix region. We test-drove a GM Chevy Equinox this weekend, hauling ourselves from Vieux Quebec to La Malbaie along the St. Lawrence Seaway. Full report to follow in the next few posts. But here's what I'm revealing for now: it was a fun-filled European-flavoured junket!

I've always been very curious about going to Quebec. Thanks for sharing a taste of it-- it looks incredible and so strange, like a piece of the Pyrenees transplanted to the New World. -X

A family vacay there was the closest I had gotten to Europe until I turned 14... I loved Quebec City!

Was it really cold there already?

I'm working for a paper writing services, and every year we had this free annual trip. Thanks for your post, now I know a place to suggest.

You're right in the comment you left in my post, "buiscuit a la cuiller" or "buiscuit cuiller" are soft, light, and delicious. I will publish a recipe soon.

A place I'm curious about, due to the French influences. Your teaser is looking good :)

Quebec has fascinated me since I was young, but I never realy had a picture of what it looked like till now. It's like someon picked up a piece of Europe and carefully put it all together in Canada for safekeeping.

Beautiful pictures ! I'm totally looking forward to reading more about your visit !

I can picture myself arriving in the city for the very first time years ago, standing in the parking lot and taking that very same photo as your first image above. Great memories of Quebec City - and oooh all that maple syrup and those tartes à sucre, mmm ! :)
