The movie "Vertical Ray of the Sun" totally inspired me to go to Vietnam.

Also, that PBS miniseries "Jewel in the Crown" in the 80s with the hot lead actor (I have no idea who he is) put all kinds of romantic ideas about India in my head

I have always been inspired by the locations in the early James Bond movies (Connery/Moore).

During the last trip, we visited the Villa in Lake Como where Bond recovers in Casino Royale. It was absolutely stunning, and I spent considerable walking around and photographing every angle!

I stayed at the old Cataract Hotel some 10 years ago. It was a fantastic experience. We were given the 1st floor suite and felt like in a movie! I was also invited to a wedding in Udaipur and the pictures remind me of this lavish celebration!
Such good memories!

Your photos make me feel like I made the wrong choice to live in Paris!! Just kidding. I love that you're inspired by such things. I, for example, wasn't inspired to go to NY for the first time until I saw You've Got Mail. To be fair, it also made me want to open a book shop.
